DIAMOND STATE VOLLEYBALL PROGRAMS

Lessons

Lessons are a great way to get the extra work a player might need to improve her game. They can be focused on one skill or multiple skills and can be given individual or multiple players. Please see below for additional details.

Clinics

We aim to create a love of the game and educate Delaware's Youth in the sport of volleyball. With Diamond State's new Grassroots clinics we want to teach volleyball at the very beginner levels. By starting youth early with these clinics our grassroots mission is to continue to grow and spread the game we love so much. The goal of these clinics is to grow the sport and instruct new players, in the fundamentals of the game. If it is your first time playing volleyball, or you are just starting out, this clinic is for you.

Winter Development VB Program

This program is geared for players that do not participate in club volleyball but would like to continue to learn the game, improve their skills, and play in a league setting.  This 8 week program will run from January 10, 2016 through February 26, 20167 The program will feature instruction and skill development as well as game play.

An athlete working on the more dynamic physical skills cannot perform well after too many reps in a row. Their technique will break down causing errors, while the athletes try to correct the error they may change to incorrect techniques to get the result they want, when it is really fatigue that is causing the error - not technique or effort. So, working with others gives each person excellent quality reps, with just enough rest time to continue to perform the skills for the full hour lesson.
